Why Chapter:Mum Exists
When I had my son, I wasn't prepared for what happened to me.
Not the sleepless nights or the relentless schedule, everyone warns you about those. I wasn't prepared for the quiet loss of myself that happened somewhere in the middle of all of it.
I'd spent my career building things, leading teams, knowing exactly who I was and where I was going. And then suddenly I was someone's mum, and I couldn't quite find the rest of me.
Writing helped to get the thoughts out of my head and onto paper. It created just enough space between the feeling and the moment to help me think clearly. To check in with myself. To remember I was still in there.
I couldn't find a journal that was designed for this specific experience. Everything was either a generic wellness journal or a baby milestone book. Nothing was made for the woman in the middle of the most transformative year of her life, trying to figure out who she is now.
So I made one.
Chapter:Mum is designed for the first year after having a baby — whether it's your first or your fourth. It's about guiding you on your way to who you are now.
I hope it helps.
